What kind of photographer are you?

I am a natural light lifestyle photographer who focuses on family sessions - which include maternity and lifestyle newborn. My sessions are shot with natural light, either outside or near a window in your home.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?

I am based in Pensacola, Florida and am available to families in Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Milton, Pace, Navarre, Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach and Perdido Key. If you are looking for services in another area close by please send me an inquiry discuss.

Where will my session be held?

Together, we will discuss the best location for you and your family. If you have a certain location in mind please let me know, otherwise, I am happy to help come up with the right place to capture the images you're envisioning! My minis typically already have a location chosen, and some portraits (like personality portraits for your kids) are taken at my in home studio in Pensacola. Most newborn sessions are held in your home, as I believe this is more comfortable for you and your babe during your session.

How long will my session be?

My full sessions usually last around 45 minutes to 1 hour. I feel comfortable that I am able to get a variety of images for you during this time frame.

Do you bring props to my session?

I do not bring props to newborn sessions. I take a more lifestyle approach to my newborn sessions and use you and your home to capture moments of you and your baby together. During the booking process, we will discuss the style you are looking for to make sure I am the right fit for you.

What will my session be like?

I know how busy life with kids is (I have three of them!), so I try to focus on being fast and efficient during my session with your family. The process will be easy, personal, professional and laid back. Don't try to hold your kids back from being kids - let them play and have fun! I will guide you during our time together but also allow you to enjoy the experience!

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST TO HAVE MY FAMILY SESSION IN NATURAL LIGHT?

I prefer to have your outdoor session at either sunrise or in the two hour time frame before sunset. In home session times will vary depending on time of year, but I have found late morning or early afternoon to be best for lighting.

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! My minis are usually seasonal and will be advertised on my website and social media when available. Minis are meant to be short and sweet (15-20 min long) with back to back families in one location (unless otherwise noted). These sessions are definitely more posed as there is limited time between each family. We will not have the freedom to play as much as we do with full family sessions. Minis are great for an updated holiday card or something specific. You will not get black and white images with a mini session like you do with your full sessions. And instead of a full/all-inclusive gallery of images there will be a set number of images you are able to download, with the option to purchase more images if wanted.

What should i wear?

My main tips are:
- dress for the season
- be yourself / look yourself / dress yourself so that you feel incredible
- coordinate / don't match
- no graphics + florescent colors or too many different patterns
- accessorize / bring little details (hats, scarves, earrings, fun shoes, fav toy or blanket) these will go a long way in adding texture and interest to your photos while also showing personality
- and lastly, let mom shine! Choose mom's outfit first and then coordinate everyone else's attire around that. I especially love flowy dresses (if that's your style) but definitely make sure you feel great in it whatever you choose to wear. I am happy to help with styling if you need it!

When will i get my digital images?

You will receive your online private gallery within 2-3 weeks of your session (sometimes earlier!). I offer simple, all-inclusive sessions where you will receive all edited high resolution digital files to download. My full sessions (not minis) will give you a minimum of 60 images in color and favs in black + white.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES TO PROVIDE IN MY GALLERY FROM OUR SHOOT?

I look carefully at each and every image I capture at our session and hand select the best images. I am looking for images that represent my artistic vision and style and your family.

how far out are you booked?

It depends on the season. If you have a special date in mind for pictures please reach out as soon as you're able to get your date reserved (50% non-refundable deposit required in order to hold your date). If you're looking for newborn pics, I recommend booking while you're still pregnant. However, I try my best to be flexible with my schedule for the babies.
